Non-profit, 501(c)3 organization focusing on veterans and their families engaging in comic book arts. The mission of our organization is to capture the joy of reading through the creation of comic books, to use art as an outlet of creative expression for mental health and to introduce successful art leaders to veterans and their families for inspiration and professional development. Comments on the Military and Business Ownership My experience as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a local comic con has inspired me to merge the two interests. I developed a non-profit organization focusing on veterans in comic arts. I hired a veteran, who earned a Purple Heart, to teach comic drawing and publication to veterans and the community. My family is a military family with my father, who served in the army, my uncle, a Marine, who fought in the Vietnam War and his son, who followed in his footsteps as a Marine.
