Comments on the Military and Business Ownership During my Air Force career, I always knew I wanted to be in business but did not understand at the moment what it would be. I took advantage of the military business classes such as Boots to Business throughout my career. I also took follow-up classes through Mississippi State University. The Air Force gave me the tools to lead and manage people through their schooling. I recently found out that my mom's side of the family was business owners. I thought it was interesting that I had the same mindset as my mother's side. In June of 2021, I felt this was the right decision for my family to start researching franchises. I knew I wanted to positively impact the community by hiring local talent and creating local community leaders. I have a passion for building teams and being a good mentor for younger adults. Lastly, I want to build a legacy for my family monetarily and positively impact our local community. I specifically picked a Franchise because of my military background and how it has the same concepts on how to be successful. The military and franchising follow the same concepts, such as processes, systems, training, uniformity, culture, structure, goal orientated, and much more. All this led me to believe it would be a natural transition for me.
