  • 13 Stars LLC

    Veteran Owned Business
    Warren, RI 2885

Founded after Sean returned from a deployment in mid-2018; he had been looking to start a business. Upon returning stateside Sean came to find out that Eli's Father (aka Big Papi Cady) grew and harvested his own spicy delights; ranging from Jalapenos to Ghost Peppers. After a few months of testing and embracing the horrible but also satisfying burns of pepper justice; Sean and Eli found what they had been searching for. We were ready to get lost in the sauce; but wanting to offer something that was so much more than just a bottle of hot sauce. Here are the three pillars of our brand that we wholeheartedly stand by everyday: 1. Honor those currently protecting, defending, and supporting our country 2. Support a bad-ass non-profit(s) 3. Provide premium hot sauces through superior customer service OUR CULTURE Work Hard, Play Hard. To fulfill the tall order of our mission statement requires a passion that goes beyond clocking in the hours required. Countless night's burning the midnight oil to get our sauces ready to flip the next day is not for everyone. But we are not 'everyone'. On our limited days (more like hours) off we love to spend it with family and friends. OUR BRAND Fueled with a passion to provide a DAMN good hot sauce to our customers and give back to those who serve, we created 13 Stars. Our sauce, developed from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and long hours of burning eyes, provides an explosion of flavor that people with all levels of heat tolerance can appreciate. We want our customers to feel good about what they are buying. To give our appreciation and gratitude to those who serve, a portion of every bottle purchased will go toward supporting U.S. military service members, first responders, and their families. HOW WE GIVE BACK Being a fundamental pillar of our company we have to give back right. We have done countless hours of research to make sure we are giving back to non-profits that truly make a difference within the U.S. Veterans and First responders field. 13 Stars gives preference to veteran-owned businesses as our vendors and suppliers. We are committed to hiring veterans as we grow. Making a difference not only by providing aid to the non-profits but providing for our veteran employees. "I TAKE PRIDE EVERY DAY THAT I GO INTO WORK KNOWING THAT I AM PROVIDING FOR THOSE THAT HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY IN BOTH THE VETERANS WE EMPLOY AND THE CAUSES WE SUPPORT." SEAN MALONEY, CEO / FOUNDER 13 Stars is a Veteran owned, mission driven hot sauce company that gives back to those that serve. Learn more at: https://www.13starshotsauce.com/pages/about-us

  • Mack Daddy's Hawg Sauce

    Veteran Owned Business
    Melbourne, FL 32934

Mack Daddy’s Inc. (Mack Daddy's Hawg Sauce) was recently started by my wife, my son, my daughter, and me. The purpose is to showcase products that have a special meaning to my family. The barbecue sauce for example comes from a recipe that has been in our family for about forty years. The name was changed and it is now called “Mack Daddy’s Hawg Sauce". I started out making this in my kitchen with a whole lot of help from my wife. It would take us three or four hours just to put the ingredients in the pot. I originally used this sauce as a promotional item for my sales business. Instead of handing out cups, mugs, pens, and calendars like many salespeople do, I handed out barbecue sauce and it worked for me. This sauce has been all over the world and I have gotten feedback from thousands of people for over twenty years. I can tell you first hand that most people love this sauce for grilling or dipping. About twenty five years ago I invented a cast iron double thick extra heavy duty blackening skillet/griddle called the “Bayou Blackener.” The trademark for that name lapsed and I was unable to reinstate it so we changed the name to the “Mack Daddy’s Blackener.” I sold thousands of these years ago long before the internet and people loved this product. It has now been improved because it comes pre-seasoned and ready to use right out of the box. And I’m proud to say that it is made for my company by Lodge manufacturing, the oldest and largest cast iron cookware Comments on the Military and Business Ownership It helped to teach me what I was capable of doing.

  • The Northern Southern Boys Marinades

    Veteran Owned Business
    Spring Hill, FL 34609

Hi and welcome to The Northern Southern Boys Marinades, I started this in 2016. This is a marinade that thinks it is a barbecue sauce and a barbecue sauce that thinks it is a marinade. I am a Navy veteran who has been lucky enough to travel all over the country and the world. While doing that I got to eat foods from all over. So with that, I used that great opportunity to help in a rib contest, my brother and I did not win but we came in second place. So I took that recipe and began working on it. Now I have created a marinade slash thin barbecue sauce that all my friends thoroughly enjoy. Now I have started to expand onto other foods as well. So enjoy my little spin on northern and southern tastes.
