  • Shield of Sisters

    Non-Profit Organization
    Fort Atkinson W, WI 53538

Shield of Sisters (SOS) is a 501c3 veteran organization that was launched in 2022, after many months of planning and creation. The military has an systemic issue that has to be addressed. Military sexual trauma (MST) impacts 1 in 3 lady service members/veterans. In Wisconsin alone, that equals over 9,000 ladies. This number will not decrease, they have already experienced MST. Out of this need, SOS was created to help restore our sister veterans so they can live their story in a new way with a new vision. Comments on the Military and Business Ownership The leadership that the military instills in you prepares you for so many things in life. The drive, determination and unwaivered dedication have helped me create Shield of Sisters.

  • Silver Lining Villages

    Non-Profit Organization
    Atlanta, GA 30302

Silver Lining Villages is a self help organization providing and teaching alternative stress reduction techniques, holistic services, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Theta Healing and other non-invasive stress reduction techniques for active duty servicemen and servicewomen and their families, as well as United States veterans. We conduct United States veteran's retreats to help reduce stress, online group Skype sessions, and teach non-medicinal coping mechanisms to help deal with the complex difficulties associated with war and military life. We also conduct emotional freedom classes and emotional freedom techniques retreats for female military soldiers who have experienced MST (Military Sexual Trauma). Comments on the Military and Business Ownership We are not military. We are civilians who started in substance abuse, alternative healing and psychiatric nursing who found over decades that there are less traumatic methods for dealing with trauma when dealing with veterans and soldiers, and those in substance abuse. We believe that people who put their lives on the line for us deserve a chance at having and learning those tools and methods. Once that decision was made, we've learned more about military culture. Peace is paramount.

  • MENdleton Foundation

    Non-Profit Organization
    Fallbrook, CA 92028

The MENdleton Foundation was created with one simple idea; leave no brother behind. MENdleton started life as a Facebook group designed to build camaraderie and give Camp Pendleton Marines and Sailors a way to exchange extra gear. One evening, though, a Marine, in a dark place and with nowhere else to turn, reached out for support. Within the hour, dozens had offered him the helping hand he needed. Since that fateful evening, our membership has grown tenfold, but one thing has remained the same; Brotherhood. MENdleton has been, and will remain, a place for Service members to help Service members. MENdleton is comprised of active duty service members and veterans of all branches in two separate functions; a private members only online forum, and our public nonprofit foundation. The MENdleton Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) charity which enables us to use generous donations to help us connect veterans, host events, and set up outings as a means to help raise awareness of the suicide epidemic that is plaguing our beloved military. The MENdleton Foundation is on a mission to drop the suicide rate of our veterans to zero, because even one life taken from this world to soon is one too many.
