Willing Warriors, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization creating the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run, contains two five-bedroom homes on 37 acres at the foot of the Bull Run Mountains in Haymarket, VA. We bring wounded, ill, and injured Warriors and their families from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, as well as disabled Veterans, to the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run for six-days of respite away from the hospital and rehab environments.

Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic’s mission is to ensure that no one in need is denied medical care because of a lack of transportation. Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic (AFMA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization utilizing over 550 volunteer pilots to transport patients to specialized medical care. We are a coordinating service matching volunteer pilots willing to donate their time and aircraft to the individuals in need.All Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic Pilots are licensed by the FAA and are instrument rated. They are dedicated volunteers who donate their time, skills, plane and fuel to provide free medical air transportation for those in need. Our pilots continue to maintain a perfect safety record. AFMA is available to children or adult patients and an escort needing transportation for medical evaluation, diagnosis or treatment. The 82nd Airborne Division Association is for anyone who ever served in the 82nd Airborne Division and who is currently serving on active duty on jump status, or has ever served in any of the uniformed services on either jump or glider status and was awarded jump wings and received a discharge other than dishonorable. Give Us Paws is a Service-Connected, Disabled Veteran Founded, Texas, Federally recognized 501(c)(3), nonprofit corporation based in Houston that provides free, in-home training and certification of eligible candidates' existing dogs as service animals for disabled veterans, especially with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)/emotional disabilities. We also provide services to disabled adults and children eligible under the ADA, but veterans receive priority for funding and training. We concentrate on funding our training of service animals with handlers suffering from PTSD, diabetes and limited mobility issues in order to improve the quality of their lives. There are thousands of returning veterans suffering from PTSD having issues adjusting to normal life. Last year, the VA cut all funding for service animals of veterans with PTSD and there's a large gap that needs to be filled with extremely limited resources. To acquire a trained Service Dog can cost $20,000.00-$30,000.00; the waiting lists can be multi-years long, programs for training and funding for that training are scarce. We provide an in-home training program free of charge to our disabled veterans, if funds are available for training. Our program costs $3,000.00-$5,000.00 for civilians.

Working with the families and friends of the Fallen, we employ professional writers to produce a full biography honoring the life and sacrifice made by each military service person. Under the leadership of Executive Director Ken Buckles, Remembering America's Heroes (RAH) provides education to youth and the community so they can understand and appreciate the value of freedom and its cost. For the past fourteen years, RAH has been known for Milwaukie High School's Living History Day, which is the biggest and most comprehensive school program honoring Veterans in the state. In 2008, over 700 Veterans and their guests attended the all-day signature event at Milwaukie High School (MHS). Living History Day at MHS includes speaker sessions, where small pairings of Veterans speak to students in classrooms about their experiences; a luncheon hosted by MHS students; a Gold Star Assembly that pays tribute to 50 MHS students and one teacher who lost their lives serving our country; and an impressive museum with over 50 military memorabilia/artifact collectors spread throughout the gym and outdoor areas. The day culminates in the Assembly of Honor, a recreated USO Show that includes performances by students and professional performers, as well as comedy, words of inspiration, and special recognition of our Veterans. MHS students spend days, even weeks, decorating the campus in preparation. Many alumni come back each year to help out as well. Southwestern Oklahoma Veterans Betterment Assistance is a non-profit (501-c3) organization uniting the skills, knowledge and experiences of military veterans and their families, nationwide, to help provide them with the benefits, resources and education they deserve for proudly serving our great nation.

The Clinton Oklahoma Veterans Service Center Office assists Veterans and their dependents in preparing claims for benefits or privileges to which they may be entitled as administered by the US Department of Veterans Affairs. The Clinton Veterans Center is located on 70 acres ¼ of a mile off of I40 at exit 66 on the south edge of Clinton where residents enjoy a home-like atmosphere of western Oklahoma hospitality. The Center has 148 nursing care beds and eight domiciliary (independent living) beds, with 50 beds devoted to the specialized treatment of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Residents enjoy frequent activities in the recreation hall and auditorium with a seating capacity of 300. Renovations to the original building have been numerous with two major renovations in 1995 and 2002 as the facility maintains a desire to provide the best possible environment with the latest equipment and resources available. New dining and laundry facilities are scheduled for construction in 2011. Medical services include medical providers, nursing staff, rehabilitation therapy, pharmacy, and recreational therapy to provide the highest quality of care. Transportation to and from local appointments and appointments at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Oklahoma City are provided for the convenience of the veterans.
